An industrial unit is sized with data that only the real product provides: how it reacts and mixes, how much heat it tolerates, what final moisture it reaches, what texture and particle size it takes on and how it behaves when packed. When those data are assumed, the equipment is bought twice. When they are measured, scale-up is arithmetic. After the trial you can estimate your line with the calculator.

A pilot batch can be made from 5 kg. The exact amount depends on the product and the process: a dilute liquid that must first be concentrated needs more volume than a filter cake. When we define the trial we tell you the quantity and how to condition the sample for shipment.
A pilot batch is completed in 24 hours, again depending on the product and the process. What usually takes longest is not the trial itself, but the logistics of the sample and, where applicable, the subsequent laboratory analyses.
A report with the working conditions and the process curves, the sample of the product obtained, the relevant quality control analyses and the video record of the trial. With those data the industrial equipment is sized.
To scale up with measured figures instead of estimates. The trial defines the temperature the product tolerates, the achievable final moisture, the bulk density and particle size of the powder, and whether a drying aid is needed. Those are precisely the data that, if wrongly assumed, cause an industrial unit to fall short.
